Night From A Smaller Point of View

Description

I tried to make a scene from like a bug's point of view, did I do okay? I'm starting to work on lighting and highlighting. I thought it would be best to start out with a dark scene where the only light comes from the moon. This took about a month to finish (please don't judge) I know it's not amazing but I'm proud of it. If you see this I would really appreciate it if you could critique this. Hug

This is really good! I like the composition and placement of everything. My main suggestion is something I still struggle with, so, I dunno. Ignore it if you want.

You seem to draw with a lot of symbols. I mean, we all know what a clover looks like right? But in reality a clover has more rounded leaves, serrated edges, generally the leaves have a pattern that looks like a white circle together. Your brain tries to simplify everything it can into symbols and it takes a lot of hard work to re-train your brain to see things as they really are. Photo references like Jeeleery said are a huge help there but also taking a moment to study something and really seeing the details of what it is. Do this often as you can. With everything. All the time. If you have 5 spare minutes sketch it. Seriously, I think artists have to train their brains as much as their hands to draw.
